Hi MK. Current Events has now been fixed and has the news for the whole of November (so far!). -- Arwel 02:20, 20 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Thank you. MK 04:09 (EST) 21 November 2003
MK, your comment on VFD just now doesn't make sense to me. You have not, according to the page history, edited List of pornstars who are computer junkies at all. :-) Is this a mistake, and if so, could you fix it? Jwrosenzweig 19:48, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- I see you fixed it. :-) Thanks! Jwrosenzweig 19:48, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Hi MK. Apologies for taking so long to respond, but I have only just read your query re my edits to Astro City. OK, the page title is Astro City so I moved the bit about Astro City to the intro. However I agree with your point re the full name of the comic and have amened the article accordingly. If you don't think that gets over the problem, maybe we need to rename the page from Astro City to Kurt Busiek's Astro City. What do you thinkl? Moriori
MK,
Thank you for fixing my careless typo on the featured Habs article.

Hi, I noticed your vote in the previous VfD on Poland's betrayal by the Western Allies and wanted to let you know that I have reopened the issue and wish for you to please cast your vote at VfD--naryathegreat 23:53, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)
Your FHM sexy ladies category list has been listed on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion -- It may be required that you remove all those links yourself. --Stevertigo 19:32, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
FHM 100 Sexy Women category
[edit]The issue is not whether or not the articles listing the poll results should be kept, but whether the categorization of all the articles about the women placed in the poll should be kept. Please tailor your discussion appropriately on CfD. I would also like to see you respond to all of my points on that. For my part, I say keep the category to group the list articles, but that's it—the individual articles on the women should not be categorized under it. I'm not sure if you gathered that from the discussion because you never responded directly to that notion. Postdlf 18:19, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Please read my last post on CfD and I'd appreciate it if you would respond to each point—I have put together all the main arguments against keeping the category as it is, and I think each argument is independently substantial enough to merit changing it. Postdlf 19:40, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I have just added a vote in favour of retaining this category. There is now a majority in favour of retaining it. I have asked Stevertigo to reinstate all the deletions that he has carried out, in spite of there not being a clear majority. Noisy 17:41, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I understand that your paramount interest is including this information on wikipedia, something which doesn't particularly hold interest for me but which I respect regardless and don't oppose. Would you be satisfied by the inclusion of a mention at the end of each article that the subject was placed in the poll? I don't know if you have a main article for the FHM poll yet, or merely the lists by year, but a link to one could immediately tie the article to the other poll results in a way that doesn't brand the article as a whole. Including the information in the text of the article itself would seem to fulfill what you are trying to do, while avoiding the problems that I and others see with this being a category. Let me know what you think. Postdlf 13:42, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
While there was an ongoing discussion in Wikipedia:Categories for deletion over Category:FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World, Stevertigo saw the consensus was not going in the direction he favored and decided to unilaterally delete all 270 entries in the category rather than abide by the majority opinion. He was asked to revert his deletions but has not done so. I would like to request that all of his deletions be reverted and Stevertigo be warned against performing similar actions in the future. [edit]This post is meant in good faith, although it may at point appear indignant. I was a little vexed about the way you treated an article of mine. I mean, who's it hurting? If yer don't like it, just don't read it. It were just a harmless piece of fun. If this is the policy, why not get started on the Simpsons page? Or the Beatles? I mean, who the hell is going to search for Mal Evans? or My Two Cents? . I can't imagine too many people searching for Ferdinand de Lessops either, but it seems reasonable that he should be on. This whole encyclopedia thing cannot be harmed by little bits of trivia with limited appeal, connected to more important matter. I'm not going to bother appealing for it to be un-deleated, but i'm slightly upset as if you'd just told me I would gladly have removed it, edited it and put it elsewhere. As for your comments about the apartment article - mine too. If they were to go under the character articles it would make them way too long. Please, just leave them. They're not hurting you. You have contributed some pretty good stuff and i'm sure you can imagine how you'd feel if any of it was deleated for no good reason other than people found it boring. (also, I saw you've done a bit of work on the Simpsons, which is much worse for excessive trivia). Thanks anyway.
--Crestville 00:41, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if my vote to delete your articles upset you, but it was (and remains) my honest opinion on the subject. I've always tended to be an inclusionist on articles, but I think an article on a fictional piece of furniture is unnecessary. And I agree that some of the articles on minor topics from The Simpsons or other shows are also too trivial to justify articles; this is why many of them will probably also be deleted. Your redirections aren't coming out right. You're getting commas instead of accented characters. RickK 05:20, Aug 3, 2004 (UTC)

Sigourmey the Marine
[edit]Hi MK! How are you? First of all, let me thank you for reading an article I originated, in List of actors and....Marines. It always charms me when people read articles I originated. It means that what has importance to me has importance to others as well.
Sigourmey was a "Space Marine" in the movie, which, assuming the movie was futuristic, because I havent seen it in about a year and a half, but remember the movie was released in 1979 and, well, soldiers in the sky..anyways, she was a "Space Marine" which means that the directors thought that in the future there would be Marines in space, which in turn makes her a...Marine.
By the way, you share your name with a airline: Malaysia Airlines' cargo division is named "MK Airlines". Maybe youre the owner..lol
Well, hey, thanks for reading and God bless you!
Sincerely yours, "Antonio Pop Star Martin"
Ok, then she wasn't
[edit]Dear MK: You are more of an expert than me in the Aliens series. I particularly dont like that series too much, but my understanding was that she was a Space Marine. The only Aliens movie I actually enjoyed was AVP, which I went to the theather and saw this weekend. That movie is rad!
The only thing that saddened me a little bit was that, after writing you such a joyous message and thanking you for reading the article and all, you didnt even say hi back to me on your returned message. But it's cool, I mean, that's really not a biggie. I try to be friends here with everyone, as a matter of a fact, I use "out of left field" nicknames to bring a smile to everyone. That's all, but it's ok.
For now I will leave Sigourmey out of the page. I think that seems to be the correct thing to do. I saw part two for the first and only time in 1986. If someone else thinks she was a "Space Marine", let them write it there, Ill just stick to movies that I have really seen with attention.
Once again, thank you and God bless you!
Sincerely yours, "Antonio Mr. Lost Martin"

Hi! I've gotten the impression that you're interested in articles related to comics and sequential art. I've just created a project called WikiProject on Comics in order to establish consensus on the organization and content of such articles, and I hope you'll join in. See the main project page and please leave comments on the Talk page. Thanks! -leigh (φθόγγος) 22:40, Dec 5, 2004 (UTC)
Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

I have added a "prod" template to the article Guy Ducornet, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. 172.163.146.172 03:39, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello MK! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called MK. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name MK~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Isola (fictional city) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No significant coverage for this element as described by the WP:GNG. A search shows primary sources and passing mentions, nothing to establish WP:Notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jontesta (talk) 16:51, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
